At Aurora Public Library, we're passionate about celebrating the voices, talents, and passions of the amazing teens in our community. Each month, we highlight a local teen to learn more about who they are, what inspires them, and how they stay curious, creative, and connected.
This month, we're excited to introduce our Teen of the Month: Maverick, from École secondaire catholique Renaissance. Martin is one of the French volunteers at the library.
- What book are you currently reading? What do you think of it so far?

- What subject do you enjoy the most in school, and why?
Math and Physics. These two subjects both have a unique way of approaching problem solving and it feels satisfying finding the answer.

Giving myself breaks from studying and having a hobby so studying doesn't feel overwhelming.
- What’s one study tip or habit that works well for you?
Taking notes and phrasing everything into my own words as well as actually applying what I've written down helps a lot with retaining the topic rather than just memorizing it.

My parents.
- What’s one skill or activity you’d love to learn and why?
Coding. I feel like learning this skill would help me in the future because it has many uses.

Libraries are a great place for both resources and socialisation. Teens can access information and learn about topics they're curious about, while also having a space to meet up and connect with others.

More hands-on workshops and courses on topics like coding, math or languages.
