Aurora Public Library is the 2026 Smile Cookie Charity of Choice for Aurora
Aurora Public Library is deeply honoured to be recognized for its ongoing community impact and selected as the 2026 Smile Cookie charity of choice for all Aurora Tim Hortons locations.
From April 27 to May 3, 2026, 100% of proceeds from every Smile Cookie purchased at participating Aurora Tim Hortons restaurants will support Aurora Public Library programs and services.
Each Smile Cookie is $2, and every cookie directly supports free community programs at your library.
This marks the first time APL has been selected for this incredible community campaign, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the Aurora Tim Hortons restaurant owners for choosing to invest in local literacy, learning, and connection.
Aurora Public Library is a single-branch library serving the entire Town of Aurora and surrounding communities. Every day, we provide free access to learning, literacy, technology, and community programs for people of all ages—from children and teens to adults and seniors.
We are excited and truly grateful to see our community come together in such a meaningful way.

Where to buy Smile Cookies
1. Visit in person
Visit any participating Tim Horton's in Aurora and ask for a Smile Cookie.
2. Pre-order (great for workplaces & groups)
Complete this form and submit it to your nearest participating Tim Horton's Restaurant no less than 48 hours of your specified pickup date.
3. Order online
Through the Tim Hortons app, Uber Eats, Door Dash, or Skip The Dishes.

Volunteer During Smile Cookie Week (April 27 - May 3)
We’re looking for friendly, outgoing volunteers to help bring this community campaign to life across Aurora.
Volunteers will support Aurora Public Library at participating Tim Hortons location by:
- Represent APL at participating Tim Hortons locations
- Share campaign information with the public
- Help create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere
- Earn volunteer hours while supporting your local library
This is a great opportunity to connect directly with the community and be part of one of Aurora’s most exciting fundraising initiatives.

Smile Cookie Week is a national Tim Hortons fundraising campaign running April 27 – May 3, 2026. During this week, 100% of proceeds from Smile Cookie sales are donated to local charities and community groups.

Aurora Tim Hortons restaurant owners selected Aurora Public Library because of its strong role in providing inclusive programs and services that support the entire community.

Funds raised will directly support Aurora Public Library programs, collections, and community experiences, including:
• Summer Reading Club enhancements, including professional performers and large-scale community events
• Creative Studio tools, equipment, and maker resources for hands-on programming
• Creative workshops and skill-building programs using professional-grade tools
• Expansion of children’s and teen high-interest book collections
• Diverse and inclusive collections reflecting Aurora’s community
• Learning kits and take-home STEM, literacy, and creativity resources for families
• Cultural celebration events that highlight Aurora’s diverse cultures, traditions, and heritage

100% of the purchase price (before taxes) of each Smile Cookie sold during campaign week goes directly to local charities and community groups.

During Smile Cookie Week, guests will not earn or redeem Tims Rewards points on Smile Cookie purchases, as 100% of proceeds are donated to charity. Points can still be earned on other eligible menu items.
