What is Summer Reading Club?
TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest bilingual reading program for kids.
It’s free, fun, and runs all summer long.
Kids read what they love, track their progress, and earn prizes.
You can join at the library, at home, or anywhere.
How it works
Register for Summer Reading Club and you will get:
- A reading notebook (while supplies last)
- Stickers (while supplies last)
- Activity challenges
- A brag tag on a chain
Use your brag tag to collect reading beads for every hour of reading.
What you can do this summer:
- Join drop-in programs every weekday from 2:30–4:30 PM
- Join themed Summer Reading Club parties every Saturday from 2:30–4:30 PM
Why Read All Summer?
Reading during the summer helps children avoid the “summer slide".
Kids who don’t read over the summer can lose valuable literacy skills before returning to school.
Just 15 minutes of reading a day can help maintain confidence, improve reading skills, grow imagination and support lifelong learning.

Prizes
- For every 1 hour of reading → 4 beads
- For every 2 hours of reading → 1 big bead
- For every 10 hours of reading → 1 prize from the prize bin (maximum of 5 free prizes)
- For every 20 hours of reading → 1 free book! (maximum of 5 free books)
Grand Prizes
- 1 prize pack for the Pre-Registration draw (valid until June 27)!
