Donate Books & Other Items
Have books or games in good condition that you'd like to pass along? Donating to Aurora Public Library is a simple way to help share books, stories, information and entertainment with others in our community.
Your donated materials may become part of the Library’s collection, helping Aurora residents discover a new favourite book, explore a new topic or enjoy a game with family and friends.
What We Accept
Aurora Public Library accepts the following items in good condition:
- Gently used books, including paperbacks and hardcovers
- Recent PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch games in their original packaging
Please ensure donated materials are clean and in good, usable condition.
What We Cannot Accept
To help us maintain a current and useful collection, we are unable to accept materials that are:
- Outdated
- Damaged or in poor condition
- In formats not supported by the Library
If you're unsure whether an item is suitable for donation, please bring it in and our staff can review it.
How to Donate
Please bring your books or games to the Service Desk, where Library staff will review the items and determine whether they are suitable for donation.
Please Note:
Aurora Public Library assumes unconditional ownership of all donated materials. The Library determines the final use or disposition of donated items. Materials may be added to the Library’s collection or used, sold, recycled or disposed of in another way determined by the Library.
