March Break: Mad Science: Spin, Pop and BOOM!

This thrilling performance will explore a combination of chemistry and physics. Audiences will be amazed by our colour change demonstration. Children will be awed as the Mad Scientist creates an extra hand to help with our experiments. Children will witness a number of exothermic reactions that will produce a Genie Out of a Bottle and a Giant Foam Snake. The fundamental forces of planet Earth will be summoned as the Mad Scientist turns a glass of water upside-down without spilling a drop. We will also challenge the odds with a bungee jumping glass bottle.

What can you build with cardboard? Drop in and find out! Will you build a city, a car, a machine or something else entirely? We’ll have the cardboard, scissors, sticky stuff and decorations, but what you make is up to you!

Fantastic Imaginations! A bilingual concert with Kathy Reid-Naiman and Hannah Naiman

Join Kathy and Hannah as we tap our imaginations through songs, fingerplays, rhymes and musical games. We’ll take an imaginary trip on a Golden Boat, or a rocket ship. We might meet Jack the Lumberjack, or Dirty Bill from Vinegar Hill. Cows might be blue and pigs might be green and you just never know!

Join us for some creative building fun at the Library’s Building Days! We have lots of LEGO® and Duplo® for you to build with, and awesome books to give you ideas! You’ll have a chance to meet new friends and work together with them to make amazing LEGO® creations!

Please do not bring your own LEGO® pieces with you. Parents/guardians must remain in the library.
